“DEFi” Conference summary : ” Business-Finance dialogue on solutions and actions for nature 3
The Institut de la Finance Durable and Entreprises pour l’Environnement are pleased to announce the publication of the the summary of the 3rd edition of “DEFi” – Business – Finance dialogue on solutions and actions for nature, dedicated to financing solutions for the ecological transition. Against a backdrop of climate urgency, pressure on resources and erosion of biodiversity, the discussions highlighted a fundamental need: to bring environmental ambitions and sustainable business models into convergence. On the program for this edition: eight thematic workshops explored levers for action on structuring issues such as:
- adapting to climate change,
- plastics management
- preservation of ocean and water resources,
- mobilizing finance to support regenerative models.
The debates highlighted three key points:
- The need for greater dialogue between economic players, financiers, scientists and public authorities;
- The emergence of systemic approaches integrating climate, biodiversity, social justice, sobriety, governance and innovation;
- The need for financing adapted to ambitious transformation trajectories.
With UNOC 3 in Nice in 2025, looming as a major deadline for action in favor of the oceans, this collective work provides food for thought on the methodologies, indicators and tools to be mobilized to align financial flows with planetary limits.
