On the occasion of the Summit for a new Global Financial Pact, the Paris financial community confirms its commitment to combating global warming, preserving biodiversity and social well-being, and increasing the financing of growth and decarbonization in emerging and developing countries.

Given the scale of the needs, public funding will not suffice, and increased private financing is essential.

In order to amplify the actions of the Paris financial center and accelerate the mobilization of the private financial sector, the Institut de la Finance Durable is announcing the creation of a forum of committed players bringing together all stakeholders to give concrete expression to the increased mobilization of the private sector and contribute to the ‘Paris Dialogue’.

This dedicated forum, a privileged interlocutor of public authorities, will be fully in line with the Paris Dialogue on sustainable development solutions proposed by the international institutions resident in Paris. It will promote the fluidity and speed of implementation of existing initiatives, and strengthen ‘blended-finance’ initiatives by engaging in collective reflection on the most attractive mechanisms for catalyzing private-sector financing through official development assistance, thereby helping to redirect flows to developing countries to finance the ecological transition.
