On the occasion of French Fintech Week, the Institut de la Finance Durable awarded the prizes for the Challenge Fintech for Tomorrow on Monday, October 9. For the 6th consecutive year, the call for projects, a benchmark in terms of support and promotion of green and sustainable fintechs, has rewarded 5 innovative projects whose activities support the transformation of financial sector practices and/or the reorientation of flows towards a sustainable, fair and inclusive economy.

In line with the previous year, particular attention was paid to diversity and inclusion in the candidates’ profiles.

Prix Graine

The ‘Graine’ prize, for projects in the ideation and creation phase. This prize was awarded to EverSea. This 100% ocean-dedicated platform for blockchain-based financing and evaluation of projects dedicated to reducing the impact on the marine environment received a prize of 30,000 euros and will benefit from a Masterclass with Seabird Impact, as well as a BPI France Impact diagnostic.

Prix Jeune Pousse

The ‘Jeune Pousse’ prize, which aims to support companies in their start-up phase, was won by ValueCo, the first SaaS solution to collect proprietary ESG opinions from investors and provide anonymized analyses to asset managers, institutional investors and companies. It receives a prize of 25,000 euros and will benefit from a Masterclass with SeaBird Impact, a BPI France Impact diagnostic, support from consulting firm Ailancy and membership of Finance Innovation.

Tree Award

The ‘Arbre’ prize, supporting companies looking to roll out on a large scale, was awarded to Atekka, which offers tailor-made insurance products to uninsured agricultural professionals to support them in their transition and protect our food sovereignty. It receives the sum of 20,000 euros, and will benefit from a Masterclass with SeaBird Impact, a BPI France Impact diagnostic, support from the consulting firm Ailancy, membership of Finance Innovation and support from Finance Montreal.

In addition to the ‘Graine’, ‘Jeune pousse’ and ‘Arbre’ prizes, Coups de Cœur awards were presented by France Assureurs to EverSea; Société Générale to Altitude (the one-stop-shop that makes the best of AXA’s climate, carbon and biodiversity data accessible to private equity players) and the Climate Finance Fund to Joltee (the new-generation insurance dedicated to electric vehicle drivers). This year, the Institut de la Finance Durable was joined by some twenty partners to support the development of innovative projects contributing to the transformation of finance.

Coup de cœur' award #FranceAssureurs

The Coup de Coeur #FranceAssureurs prize was awarded to EverSea, the platform dedicated 100% to the oceans for the financing and evaluation, thanks to blockchain, of projects dedicated to reducing the impact on the marine environment

Coup de cœur award #SociétéGénérale

The Coup de Coeur #SociétéGénérale prize was awarded to Altitude, the one-stop-shop that makes the best of AXA’s climate, carbon and biodiversity data accessible to private equity players.

Coup de Coeur Award #ClimateFinanceFund

The Coup de Coeur #ClimateFinanceFund prize was awarded to Joltee, the next-generation insurance for electric vehicle drivers.

Last but not least, the 11 finalists, including aldatoo, Climate Dividends, finres, Shango, Simpl and Tudigo, will benefit from a free one-year membership of associations in the Paris financial center, a masterclass on impact project financing by BNP Paribas and access to ChangeNOW 2024. They will also benefit from networking and communication initiatives organized by IFD.
